Which commune does not make surveys when preparing its development strategy? Surveys can provide valuable insight, they are fashionable and convenient. That is why almost all Polish communes make them, but most do it wrong! The The Polish Pismo Wspólnota Journal of Self-government 9/22 published my 5th article of “Municipal Strategic Q&A” series. I explain how to do it well and without unreasonable costs – independently, even in a small commune. It will also be useful to those local governments that decide to commission a survey to a specialized company. The conscious customer gets more of what really needs, sometimes even for a lower price.
