New Development Strategy of the Głowno City. You have to move forward quickly so as not to fall back.

“Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!” said the Red Queen in “Alice in Wonderland” by L. Carroll, a lecturer of the Oxford University. And she was very right. Those who do not develop fast enough fall further and further behind others, and this, although not always immediately, usually causes many serious problems.

The City Council of Głowno has just adopted the Glowno City Development Strategy, authored by me, the implementation of which will ensure dynamic and, at the same time, sustainable development of this city. Although it faces many challenges, thanks to the use of its many advantages, potentials and opportunities, in partnership and committed cooperation of the local government, residents, companies and the state, in a dozen or so years it may provide one of the best living, working and recreation conditions in the Lodz Agglomeration.

I would like to thank everyone with whom I cooperated in this project, especially the Councilors, Mayor Grzegorz Janeczek, Head of the Strategy and Planning Department Paulina Soszyńska-Purtak, the entire management of the City Hall of Głowno as well as municipal units and companies. I would also like to thank all city leaders who took part in the series of strategic workshops and training. It was a great time. Good luck on your way to the new *better place* for City of Głowno!
