Students to communes! Here’s how practical self-government is taught in the United States, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, USA

Students of the University of Kentucky, KY, USA, studying at UK Community & Leadership Development, as part of their classes travel (using university cars) with their professors to distant municipalities to develop various simple projects for them. Moreover, the communes implement these projects usually. Those with whom I went to Flemingsburg, KY, designed new car parks, facades of municipal buildings, and recreational areas with bird habitats. For other communes, for example, they analyze the possibilities of creating marketplaces, poll the inhabitants, etc. All this under the supervision of the a.n. professors and taking into account local expectations, strategies, regulations, costs etc. Local authorities appreciate this support. Fascinating! Thanks Dan Kahl for showing me this!
